Morten has more than 30 years of industry experience and has helped build several strong brands, including the remarkable success of Graham’s Port and the portfolio of Symington Family Estates in the Norwegian market. Morten holds the prestigious title “Knight of Port,” an honor achieved by only a select few Norwegians. As a former ice hockey player and Norwegian champion in floorball in the 1980s, followed by a few years spinning records on weekends, his interest in wine began to grow in the early 1990s. Morten started his professional wine career in 1995 and is regarded as one of the true senior figures in the Norwegian wine industry. |

With over ten years of experience in photography and visual communication, John has built a solid foundation for telling stories through images. Over the past decade, his passion for wine has evolved into a dedicated profession, where he now explores storytelling through wine its origins, its people and its places. John brings the same creativity, curiosity and forward-thinking approach to wine as he does to everything else he pursues. His passion is rooted in a desire to explore quality, character and origin. Whether he’s discovering new regions or delving into established producers, he is driven by a wish to understand and convey what is authentic and sustainable always with an eye for what lies just off the beaten path. |

Silje has over six years of experience in the premium segment, both nationally and internationally. With a strong background from markets such as London and Singapore, she has developed a deep understanding of high-level customer service and a keen eye for quality and detail. She is known for her positive engagement, solution-oriented approach, and ability to build trust and strong relationships. Silje combines professionalism with personal service and is passionate about delivering experiences that exceed expectations.

Ivan has many years of experience in the hotel and restaurant industry and has developed a deep understanding of both service and sales, where he has been operating for the past 10 years. He is a confident and experienced professional with a strong instinct for customers’ needs. Ivan is responsible for customer follow-up and activities in Oslo, Western Norway, and Møre og Romsdal. With his positive attitude and solution-oriented approach, he is a valuable sparring partner for both new and established customers.

Petter Svanæs is a recognized sommelier based in Oslo, with extensive experience from some of Norway’s most prestigious restaurants. He has worked at Michelin-starred restaurants such as Maaemo and Kontrast, as well as at popular venues like Katla and Territoriet. In addition to his role as a sales representative with us, he is a lecturer at the Norwegian Sommelier Education, where he teaches subjects such as grape varieties, tasting methodology, and European wine regions. Svanæs has also distinguished himself in competitions. He has competed twice in the Young Sommelier Competition, achieving second place on both occasions. In 2019, he placed fourth in the Norwegian Championship for sommeliers, and in 2022 he qualified for the semifinals.

Emil’s journey into the world of wine began with hands-on experience at Vinmonopolet and Vinify AS. With a bachelor’s degree in Sales and Digital Marketing a recent master’s degree in Wine Management from Burgundy School of Business, WSET Level 2 in Wines and Spirits (and soon Level 3) Emil combines sharp commercial instincts with solid wine knowledge. After several years of tasting, studying, and building relationships with producers across Europe, he now brings this energy to Belmonte Beverage Group.
